I bought my first Alvis 12/50 (actually a 12/60) about fifty years ago and then I moved on through other vintage cars and post-war Alvises until I rejoined the Alvis Register three years ago when I bought my 12/50 Three Quarter Coupé.

The Alvis Register and its members are just as supportive as ever; some of the names may have changed but I have always found fellow members very helpful, and knowledgeable.

I thought it might be useful to pass on some of the things which I have learnt from them so I set up this website for people who don't know where to start looking for information on vintage Alvises or feel slightly in awe of the more experienced owners - if that's you, then hopefully you've come to the right place!
